Arcs 1950 is a well-designed picturesque pedestrian village which is truly ski in ski out. The apartment is situated on the 2nd floor of the popular Auberge Jerome building, which has a 24 hour reception desk. The apartment is peaceful and comfortably sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms with the facility to accommodate an extra 2 people in the living room on a double sofa bed.
The apartment is particularly well arranged with the bedrooms on either side of the kitchen/dining/living room. The kitchen has a dishwasher, hob, oven, fridge and microwave and there is a TV and DVD player in the spacious sitting area. The apartment has ample pegs and built in cupboards, and the bathrooms have good radiators for drying clothes. It also has all the basic cooking and dining equipment you should need, and will be serviced with linen, towels and bath robes on arrival.
This apartment is strictly non-smoking and no pets.
Facilities for the apartment include: free Wi-Fi; free laundry facilities on each floor of the building; two lockable ski lockers in the boot room which is a few paces from the slopes; outdoor heated swimming pool and hot tub; basic gym and sauna. There is also a state of the art Spa in the village which can be booked at an additional cost.
Arcs 1950 is part of the Les Arcs ski area and is linked to La Plagne to create the vast Paradiski ski area which has ~420km of pistes for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities to enjoy. Les Arcs is within easy reach from major airports such as Chambery, Lyon and Geneva. Eurostar runs a winter service to the nearby station of Bourg-Saint-Maurice. If you choose to drive then there is secure underground parking which can be booked (fee extra).
Arcs 1950 has a very well stocked small supermarket, a busy patisserie, a handful of restaurants and bars, Cariboo Club (a creche and children’s club), shops to hire skis, arrange ski lessons, and buy lift passes. There is the Cabriolet lift to Arcs 2000 at the top of the village for the nursery slopes and facilities of a bigger resort, and a short schuss down to the well-connected Marmottes and Bois de L’Ours chairlifts.
